To set up WS-FTP to connect, you'll need to fill in the following fields: (see the example picture below for clarification)

  • Profile Name - indylink.org
  • Host Name - indylink.org
  • Host Type - leave this on Automatic Detect
  • User Id - your username for IndyLink
  • Password - your password for IndyLink
  • Account - leave this blank
  • Remote Host - public_html (make sure you put in the underscore and no spaces)

    Once you have entered all the correct information, click the checkbox for Auto Save Config to keep these settings. You may also click the checkbox to Save Password. If you do choose to save your password, WS-FTP will automatically connect and verify your password without you having to enter it after this. Click "Ok." If you don't choose to save your password, you'll be asked for it password each time you connect.

    Connect to IndyLink's Web Server
    Once you click "Ok," WS-FTP will probably try to connect, if you're not already dialed up to IndyLink.  (If WS-FTP doesn't automatically begin to connect, then click "Connect" in the bottom left hand corner of the window.)
